Microwave solutions are inherently secure. The outdoor units require a clear line of sight to transfer data.
Attempts to intercept data transmission is likely to partially or completely block the beam, which is detectable by the operator and can be used to halt data transfer.
Furthermore the attempt is visibly obvious due to the requirement for the intercepting device to be in the line of sight between the transmitter and receiver.
Outdoor unit:
Is lightweight and compact for easy and quick deployment. Critical radio frequency parameters (radio frequency, transmission power and spectrum occupancy) can be programmed from the Indoor unit. The integrated antenna allows fine panning adjustment and is housed in a weatherproofed box that meets the IP65 standard.
Indoor unit:
The same indoor unit can be used for any frequency band and enables the programming of the solution's parameters (radio frequency, transmission power, spectrum occupancy, receiver threshold, transmission capacity, alarm threshold, alarm mapping, etc). The unit has a laptop interface and hand held terminal for setting the radio link configuration, parameters, monitoring, alarms etc.
