Broadband Radio

KMH wireless provide internal and external solutions for local and wide-area networking, that can be seamlessly integrated into your existing wired backbone.

Internal networking:

Wireless LANs allow flexible high-speed connectivity (11Mb/s) for desktops and laptops. They are perfect for hard to wire and frequently changing environments. For example:

  • In the office: Walk to the meeting room share ideas with colleagues, walk to the next building, print off a document while climbing the stairs it's all possible with wireless.
  • In the warehouse: Real time stock control from handheld or forklift mounted units.
  • On the shop floor: Site temporary 'point of service' tills anywhere as needs require.
  • In the school: Hand out a laptop per pupil then at the end of the lesson stack on a trolley, secure or move the next classroom.
  • In the hospital: Recall and amend patient records at the bedside.
  • At home: Retrieve your email or access the web from anywhere in the house.

Prevention of unauthorised access is maximised using four levels of integrated security protocols that comply to all current industry security standards (WEP 802.11) and ISO 17799 guidelines:

  • Direct Sequence Spread Spectrum technology.
  • Network Identification Code.
  • WavePOINT Access.
  • DES or AES Data Encryption.

External networking:

KMH wireless also offers high-speed connectivity of LANs up to a distance of 32Km (20 miles).

KMH wireless provide broadband radio solutions that connect LANs in a variety of possible architectures. Simplistic architectures take the form of single point-to-point (building-to-building) configurations whilst more complex architectures feature a single 'master' base station and several (up to 60) remote 'slave' modules that rely on the base station or other slave modules for the transfer or relay of data.
